Top Five Business Books

Todd Sattersten, VP over at 800-CEO-READ, posts about the five business books that should be required reading for every executive, guaranteed to help you be more productive and make smarter decisions.

Todd's top five:

  1. "Competitive Strategy" by Michael Porter
  2. "Execution" by Larry Bossidy, Ram Charan, and Charles Burck
  3. "In Search of Excellence" by Tom Peters and Bob Waterman
  4. "Good to Great" by Jim Collins
  5. "The Effective Executive" by Peter Drucker

BOTTOMLINE: Each of these books deals with the toughest aspects of business: strategy formulation, execution and business excellence. It is no coincidence then that each of the top-rated books listed above is either referenced or quoted in Gary Harpst's top-rated book "Six Disciplines for Excellence."
